<p>We all need all the help we can get when it comes to losing weight and burning fat. Most of us have figured out by now the losing weight IS hard work if we want to keep it off for the long haul. But there are a few foods (and they are yummy ones!) that can help us all along the way.</p>
<p>1. Grass Fed Red Meats: Most people think that red meat is unhealthy, and it can be if you over-indulge (everything in moderation). It can also be unhealthy if the animal it comes from is unhealthy. Most cattle, such as beef cattle and bison, are fed a diet of corn and soybeans, which are not a part of their natural diet. This can change the chemical balance of fats and other nutrients in their meat, increasing bad fats and making the meat less nutritious. But when cattle are fed their natural diet, these fats and nutrients balance out to the healthy amounts that nature intended. Grass fed meats are also high in CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) which has been proven in recent studies to help burn fat and build lean muscle (and lean muscle burns fat &#8211; what a beautiful cycle!). Remember, a healthy portion of meat is about the size of a deck of cards.</p>
<p>2. Avocados: Delicious avocado is high in fat, but these are healthy fats. And these nutrition powerhouses are packed with vitamins, minerals, micro-nutrients and anti-oxidants as well. Whip up a delicious guacamole as a topping for eggs or salads, or slice avocados to place on a sandwich or burger. Since avocados are highly satisfying, they keep the appetite under control for hours, helping you stop unhealthy snacking habits.</p>
<p>3. Whole Eggs: WHOLE is the key here. Sure there is fat in the yolk, but that&#8217;s where all the good stuff is too. Eggs are one of the highest quality sources of protein out there, and its mostly in the yolk. Be sure to buy free range, organic eggs, though, for the same reason you want grass fed meats. The chickens will be healthier and their eggs will be more nutrient dense.</p>
<p>4. Nuts: another great source of healthy fats, and also high in fiber and protein. Fiber is another key ingredient to weight loss, as a healthy, regular digestive system is key to absorbing proper nutrients and eliminating toxins and other unhealthy elements from the body. Try to eat only raw, unroasted nuts, as these will be better quality with higher nutritional content. Also, try nut butters. Peanut butter is great (as long as it&#8217;s the natural kind with no added sugars), but for a little variety, why not try and almond or macadamia butter to mix things up?</p>
<p>5. Berries: My personal favorite part of a healthy diet! Berries can really be considered a &#8220;super-food&#8221; by today&#8217;s standards. Most varieties have an extremely high level of anti-oxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals. The best thing about berries is that they are absolutely delicious, nature&#8217;s own candy. Berries are a great way to keep variety in your diet and keep things healthy without being boring.</p>

It’s only when you reach the point of having firm flat abs that you will need to decide whether you want to maintain the status quo, or whether you want to proceed further down the path to get totally ripped abs.</p>
<p>Of course, not everyone wants to have such well defined abs, and in fact most people would be happy to see the back of their flabby belly and would settle instead for firm flat abs. However, if you want to be the envy of all your friends, or if you want to enter competitions or things like that, you will want to go further than having a firm flat belly. </p>
<p>Although this might be all well and good for you to flaunt around the next time you’re on the beach, it is simply not going to be enough if you want to do more than that. The other thing you should be aware of is that if you settle for a firm flat tummy it is far easier for you to get back to your sagging belly than if you maintained ripped abs. </p>
<p>So how do you go about getting ripped abs? The same way as you would for a normal flat tummy of course, only with much more work involved once you get past the flat and firm abs stage. To begin with though, you might want to set your sights on getting form flat abs, then graduate into the ripped abs section of things. Always keep your main goal as getting ripped abs, but by creating smaller goals such as getting flat firm abs first, you have already achieved something that you can be proud of, and that you can use as a good motivator.</p>

You have diligently been doing hundreds of sit ups and crunches every day so that you can own a flat tummy with defined abs muscles and yet that six pack remained elusive. You are now on the verge of giving up. Why is that so?<br />
Well, if it is any consolation at all, you are not alone. The irony is that your abs muscle is one of the easiest muscles to build and yet most people have difficulty in developing that 6 pack abs.<br />
Here is the simple truth. The only reason is that your tummy fat is covering your abs muscles. Period! Your six abs will not show up if you have a body fat ratio of more than 12%.  If you want rock hard and defined abs muscles to show, your body fat ratio percentage must be in a single digit.<br />
The more tummy fat you burn off, the more defined your abs will be. So if you have tummy fat, then forget about abdominal exercises and start working off the belly fat first.<br />
That said, there is another reason why your abs are not showing up even though you have low body fat percentage.  Again, there is a simple explanation is that you are doing the wrong exercises and working out in bad form.<br />
Don&#8217;t believe me? Ok, then let us take a look at some of the more common abs exercises, the sit up and the leg raisers. Everyone seems to be executing these two supposedly abdominal exercises not knowing that these exercises are really inferior exercises.<br />
Oops. I see incredulous look on some of your faces.  Ok, try this then. When you do your sit up or leg raisers, place your palms on your hip area connecting to your thigh and perform the exercises. Tell me what do you feel? Ahhh, see what I mean?  Those muscles there are doing most of the work. Those are your hip flexor muscles. Since your hip flexors are doing most of the work, how can you develop your abs effectively?<br />
So you say, from now on I will do crunches instead. Well, I have another surprise for you. Most people perform their crunches wrongly too. Think about it. Why is this exercise called &#8220;the crunch&#8221;? It is because you must squeeze your abs and contract hard so that you are crunching them. Not just crunching up and down like a worm in spasm.<br />
In order to squeeze your abs hard, you have to curl up like a prawn and breath out all the air in your lungs at the top position and then squeeeeeeeze the muscles so hard that you feel a burn. That will take a few seconds to crunch out all the air before you lower to the start position again. So, if you have been doing hundreds of crunches everyday with little result to show, now you know why.<br />
In fact, it is almost impossible for the average guy to do tens of properly performed crunches and not to say hundreds of them. The same squeezing principle applies to other abs exercises too.<br />
There are many more tips to get a flat tummy with defined six pack abs to show. However, just get the gist of the article right and you will definitely see progress.</p>

<p>The first thing to keep in mind is to lower the body fat. The only way to keep the body fats away is to maintain a healthy diet. Divide your meals into four or five mini meals that increases metabolism, which helps in cutting down the extra calorie from the body. Avoid fast foods, sodas, carbonated drinks, fries and foods that contain high calories. Include more of grains, vegetables, fruits, fish and eggs in the diet.</p>
<p>Well, along with a healthy diet, proper exercise is needed to get those six pack abs. Crunches are the basic exercise for developing abdominal muscles. This is an easy exercise that can be done after regular exercises like jogging and walking. Lay flat on the back and then pull the feet towards the body so that the knees are in a cocked position. <p>However, people always want to have a flat stomach and abdominal muscles with less effort. They go for various pills and supplements that promise to get them six pack abs in a short time. Always beware of these pills and supplements as they can only do more harm than good. Some of them come with several side effects. In the internet alone, you can find thousands of links about this topic.  There are more than enough of the types of abdominal exercises to choose from.</p>
<p>Why does it have to be the abs? This is because the abs is where the human body stores excess fats.  Every person on earth needs fat.  But to have too much of it is unhealthy.  So the never ending pursuit of getting rid of unwanted fats in your body becomes a big deal.  Now the argument is that if there are excessive fats in your system, you have to get rid of it.</p>
<p>There are several kinds of abs exercise claiming that these are the abs best exercise. The truth is, not all of them may work for you.  In fact, you don&#8217;t need to try all of them.  Just choose the ones that you think are easier and manageable.  Read the step by step methods in each exercise to know which ones are easier.  The bottom line is to get those muscles working in your tummy.</p>

Generally this is done by lying face up with your body positioned as how the traditional crunch is done.  When doing this, you will be moving your legs just like how you would ride a bicycle.  Hence its name.  This exercise is also considered an abs best exercise because particularly works for the rectus abdominis and the oblique muscles.</p>
<p>- The Exercise Ball Crunch.  Another effective abs workout is this one.  Although you need to buy an exercise ball to do this.  It&#8217;s a flexible rubber sphere that looks like a very huge balloon.  You do the exercise by resting your lower back and have your feet rest on the floor.  Then you do the abs crunch.  This type also targets the rectus abdominis.  A lot of pictures are also available for better illustration.</p>
<p>People aim for six-packs. The sad thing is, if we don&#8217;t get it instantly, we get discouraged and give up.  Flattening your abs requires discipline including your lifestyle. <p>If exercising is the bane of your existence, or if you would prefer to be flayed alive than be seen in a gym or doing anything that remotely resembles exercise, then you might find that it’s slightly difficult to get the flat abs that you are dreaming about. </p>
<p>However, on the other hand, if you don’t mind the rigors of exercise and if you are alright with sweat dripping down your face and your muscles aching from here to eternity because you just had a good day getting down and dirty with your ab exercises, then there is probably hope for you yet. </p>
<p>You will find it easier to get into the groove of exercising and eating healthy in order to get your flat abs, because make no mistake, you will need to exercise and you will need to change your diet to something that is remotely resembling healthy into order to get flat abs. </p>
<p>That said, if all you want is to lose that belly pooch, and not necessarily to have flat abs, you should be able to significantly cut down on the ab exercises that you have to do, but remember this is only if you want to lose the belly pooch, not if you want to achieve great looking flat abs. </p>
<p>To achieve this unfortunately, you will need to exercise and you will need to eat in a healthy manner, and this includes the amount of alcohol you imbibe on a daily or weekly basis as well. Once you have come to terms with all of this of course, you have the option of getting yourself down to your doctor and getting a routine physical done, or you also have the option of just winging things and taking it slowly to begin with. The choice is entirely in your hands. </p>
<p>Then the next thing that you need to do is to find an ab exercise routine that will suit your physical fitness level as well as your goals. If you want flat abs, then you definitely won’t have to do as many exercises as you would if you wanted six pack abs. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Let’s face it, most of us want to look as good as we can, and in many cases this means that we want cut abs. Unfortunately not all of us can get really cut abs without going through a lot of trouble and hard work. And – here’s even more bad news – some of us are just not genetically predisposed to be able to get the cut abs that we lust for. </p>
<p>In fact, sometimes no matter what we do, we won’t be able to do more than get firm, flat abs – forget about cut abs! However, there’s no need to become discouraged, there’s a good chance that you will be able to get the cut abs that you want; besides, unless you try to get the abs you want, you won’t know for certain whether or not you will be able to get it or not. </p>
<p>To get cut abs however, you will have to work for it. Nothing comes easy, and you know the old saying, “No pain no gain”, and it applies to getting the best ever abs as well.  So what do you need to do to get cut abs? Well, to begin with you will need to get onto a good healthy diet track. Without a healthy and nutritious diet to complement your exercise regime, you will find that it’s not so easy to get the cut abs that you want. </p>
<p>You will also need to get a good exercise regime going. You won’t need to work out every single day to get those cut abs, every other day will work out just fine or maybe about three days a week, but you will need to work for it. Talking with a good fitness trainer will be one of the better ways for you to get the exercise regime that is suitable for your body type and your own level of physical fitness. </p>
<p>Once you have done this, the next step on your way to getting cut abs is to actually stick with the diet and exercise regime that you’ve started on. Starting on this only to stop halfway through is not going to work wonders for you. To be able to get cut abs, you will need to stick with your goal. </p>
<p>However, before you start on any type of diet or fitness regime in your efforts to get cut abs, you should ideally contact your doctor or physician, to make sure that you are able to handle these changes to your body. Once you have gone through this, you can then proceed on the way to getting your cut abs.  </p>

Male abs are different from female abs in one way, but in the basic physical sense they are the same. In case you hadn’t noticed, female bodies are configured differently male bodies and this is for a reason – childbearing. This means that everything associated with the female body will affect the female abs, and the same applies for male abs. </p>
<p>Most women have more percentage of body fat when compared to their male counterparts, not to mention the little fact that they aren’t as able to get larger muscle definition. </p>
<p>It’s unfair, and it might seem sexist and chauvinistic, but unfortunately that’s life, so it is something that you will have to come to grips with, no two words about it. Men will have an easier time of it when it comes to defining their abs, and women will have to work harder. </p>
<p>Don’t get me wrong, the muscle groups are the same for both men and women, and in essence there is nothing different between the male abs and the female abs, except the little matter of genetics, hormones and body fat. </p>
<p>The male abs are also easier to sculpt into a six pack, and not as many women as they would like, are able to get a six pack. Most will have to settle for something that is close to a six pack, or which can simply be defined as a flat stomach. </p>
<p>Women are more prone to getting firmer flatter abs, but unless you can lose the belly fat which tends to accumulate so readily, you will find that it is hard to even notice your washboard stomach. </p>
<p>No matter how much you might despise the flare of your hips, or how much you might dislike that saggy tummy you get, you can’t deny that it’s not the same thing as a man’s beer belly. The two things are completely different if only you take the time to look properly. </p>
<p>Indeed the saggy abdominal section that many women seem to sport is the bane of their lives and the one thing that doesn’t seem to be go down no matter how hard you try. Are male abs like that? I think not! The beer belly is far easier to get rid of than the saggy tummy that women have to suffer from. This means that women will have to work twice as hard at getting rid of it than a man will have to.</p>
<p>But there is no need to become discouraged. A little more application and dedication on your part to getting rid of the belly fat and getting better defined abs, or even a six pack, and you will find that your very female abs are on par with any of the well cut male abs that you come across. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Are muscular abs your goal, or would you prefer to settle for firm flat abs instead? I know that personally speaking I started out with the goal of getting muscular abs, but as time passed by and I went through the motions of getting my muscular abs, I slowly changed my mind. Now, instead of wanting muscular abs, I have decided to settle for firm flat abs instead. There is a hint of a six pack lurking around to be seen, but for the most part, my abs are not muscular, they are flat and firm.</p>
<p>What changed my mind? Well, a lot of things really, but this is not about me. This is a personal choice that you need to make and one that you will need to make soon enough when you reach that stage where you can either progress forwards with even more intensity and focus on getting muscular abs, or you can stay where you are and be content to keep the new shape that you have worked so hard to get. </p>
<p>What about you though? Where would you draw the line? Would you go in for firmer flatter abs than you have now, or would you push on striving to get muscular abs instead? Obviously you will need to be aware of the facts and things, and how you feel at the time, but in general, if you are not very fond of exercising (and I wasn’t and in fact, still am not), then you might find that going beyond the realm of firm flat abs is beyond you.</p>
<p>To get muscular abs you need to do so much more than if you only wanted firmer flatter abs. You will need to change your diet around almost completely so that you body has the proper nutrition it needs to help develop and keep, those muscular abs you want. You will have to cut down, or cut back completely on things like processed and sugary foods, empty calorie foods, alcohols and other things like grease laden meals from the diner around the corner.</p>
<p>Another thing that you will need to take into account, is that you will need to exercise more, not more frequently, but with more intensity in your workout than otherwise. As you can see in order to get the muscular abs you want, you will not only need to stay fit and work out more, but you will also need to watch what you eat. And after you weigh everything up, you can then decide whether you want to go in for muscular abs or not, at which point you will know exactly what you want of course. </p>
